MATSURI Begins Preparations to Establish a Japanese Corporation, Strengthening MATSURI in MANILA and Japan–Philippines Collaboration

MATSURI has begun preparations to establish a Japanese corporation to support the continued growth of MATSURI in MANILA and strengthen collaboration between Japan and the Philippines.

Through event operations and community activities in the Philippines, MATSURI has created opportunities for Japanese culture, entertainment, food, companies and brands, creators, and communities to come together.

At the heart of these activities, MATSURI in MANILA has grown into a cultural exchange event connecting performers, companies, exhibitors, creators, and visitors from Japan and the Philippines.

The Japanese corporation now being prepared is intended to further strengthen this foundation in the Philippines and serve as a coordination hub for companies, local governments, communities, and cultural organizations in Japan seeking to begin initiatives in the Philippines.

Following its establishment, the corporation plans to pursue initiatives including:

• Strengthening the planning and operational structure of MATSURI in MANILA
• Building partnerships with Japanese companies and local governments
• Supporting product promotion and test marketing in the Philippines
